Types Of Acne
There are many types of acne, here we have a list of the meaning of each
acne type and a short description.
1.Blemishes - This is one of the most popular types of acne,
blemishes are also called whiteheads or nodules, this type of acne is very
common and it is relatively easy to prevent, you can easily eliminate
blemishes by using daily antibiotic soap and a scrub.
2. Comedos - This type of acne appears when a hair follicle gets
infected, this can cause an infection, it looks like a big pimple but most
of the time it does not develop into acne, it is usually recommended that
you do not attempt to pop comedos since they are not regular acne, they
are usually a hair that got infected.
3. Cyst - This is one of the most severe types of acne, they are
worst than nodules, this type of acne is usually develop right under the
skin, if not taken care of appropriately it can cause a severe skin
infection and even worst a very bad skin reaction, there have been cases
where cysts have been surgically removed because of their size.
4. Pimples - The most common type of acne, pimples appear on the
skin on almost any type of skin, they usually contain pus and white blood
cells, also pimples appear when you have dead skin cells or when there is
bacteria in your skin. You can prevent pimples by washing your face once
or twice a day with acne soap.
5. Blackheads - Blackheads usually appear under the skin, most of
the time you can not actually blackheads, but if you detect a darker spot
in your skin and you can feel a small bump that usually means that there
is a blackhead under your skin. If you apply a bit of pressure you will
see that the blackhead pops out, now you have to be careful because if you
scratch your skin you can develop an infection and leave an acne scar.
Blackheads can be prevented by keeping your skin oil free, wash your face
or body once or twice a day or use a cloth to wipe your face daily to
prevent accumulations of oil in your skin.
6. Acne Nodules - Some people consider this the words type of acne,
acne nodules usually appear under the skin and they develop into a very
bad skin infection, there is a huge skin reaction and they usually get
filled with pus.
7. Acne Vulgaris - This type of infection usually develops into pus
pimples, they usually make your skin dark or red around the pimple and it
usually occurs in your face, your chest or back.
8. Acne Rosacea - This usually needs to be diagnosed by a doctor,
this usually appears on the nose and cheeks, it makes the skin look red
and flare ups can occur in some cases.
9. Whiteheads - This type of acne happens to people with very oily
skin, they usually develop into small pimples with a tiny white head, they
can be easily removed and treated, this type of pimple stays white because
they are not exposed to air, a blackhead turns black because they are
exposed to the air.
